The Ynez Text Alerts is a free, opt-in text program from The Ynez. Reply STOP to any text to cancel, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, up to 3 texts a day. Msg & data rates may apply.
The program
The Ynez Text Alerts sends short alerts about the Santa Ynez Valley: Vandenberg launch times with where to watch, the weekend's best bets, and new guides on theynez.com. You choose which of those you get when you sign up.
Texts come from The Ynez, the guide at theynez.com edited by Tony Michael in Los Alamos, California. The Ynez is published by Bello Libre Partners LLC in Santa Barbara, California.
How to join
Sign up on the text alerts page: pick your alerts, enter a US mobile number and tick the consent box. We then text you once. Reply Y to that text to start. Until you reply Y, you get nothing else.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Texts are sent with an automated system.
How often
Message frequency varies with launches and weekend plans, up to 3 texts a day. We send between 8am and 8pm in your time zone, as we best tell it from your area code.
Cost
The Ynez never charges for texts. Msg & data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, depending on your plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any text. END, CANCEL, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, REVOKE and OPTOUT work too, and so does plain wording like "stop texting me" or "take me off this list." You get one text confirming you're out, then no more texts. You can also email hello@theynez.com and we'll take your number off.

Carriers and delivery
Works on US mobile numbers with the major carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We may pause or end the program; if we end it, we'll tell subscribers by text first.
Privacy
We don't sell or share your mobile number or your text opt-in with anyone for their marketing. What we keep, why, and for how long is in the privacy policy.
Changes
