Where to eat in Solvang
Almost every table in Solvang is a short walk from Solvang Park, the village green. On Atterdag Road, peasants FEAST, a Michelin Bib Gourmand pick, is the headline; aebleskiver and Danish bakeries sit on Copenhagen Drive; and The Gathering Table and Coast Range take booked dinners on Mission Drive. Monday and Tuesday need a plan, because peasants FEAST, Ramen Kotori and Solvang Brewing Company are all closed. The Solvang restaurants open today grid shows every kitchen’s hours, day by day.
Where to park in Solvang (it is free)
Parking in Solvang is free "everywhere in the village," according to Solvang USA, the city visitor site, which lists three public lots: 1639 Copenhagen Drive, 464 Alisal Road and 1616 Oak Street. The Solvang USA FAQ adds that each lot has free restrooms and that EV charging stations are around the village. City code bars leaving a car in a city public lot for more than 24 consecutive hours without a permit, so overnight guests should park at their hotel.
The Solvang Visitor Center is at 1637 Copenhagen Drive, open daily 9:30am to 5:30pm, phone (805) 465-7298. Arriving by car, bus or plane? See getting to Solvang. On Wednesdays the farmers market sets up on the 400 block of First Street, 2:30pm to 6pm; see every valley farmers market, day by day. Sources: Solvang USA parking, FAQ, Solvang Municipal Code ch. 7.
