What restaurants are inside Chumash Casino?

Five, per the resort's dining page: Willows (the steakhouse; dinner 5–10pm, to 11pm on show nights), Cafe Amri (7am–2pm), The Sports Bar (noon to midnight daily), Grains & Grounds (Starbucks, open 24 hours) and the Hotel Coffee Bar (7am–3pm). Some listings name a "Pavilion Café" or a "Chumash Café" inside the resort; neither is on its dining page. The resort says you must be 21 or older. For the resort itself, use chumashcasino.com. Seeing a show? Our Chumash Casino concerts guide covers tickets, the spa and when to arrive.

Where should you go for a sit-down dinner near the casino?

Three places on Sagunto and Faraday Streets, each a 1- to 2-minute drive. S.Y. Kitchen is Italian, with lunch every day and dinner from 4:30pm Friday to Sunday. The Victor, on the grounds of The Genevieve hotel, cooks in a Josper charcoal oven, has no dress code ("Boots, buckles, and big hats welcome!") and says reservations are highly recommended; it's closed Monday and Tuesday. Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn is open for dinner only, every night except six holidays a year, and asks parties of 5 or more to call 805-688-4142.

The Red Barn here is Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn, a Santa Ynez dinner house at 3539 Sagunto Street. It isn't part of any Red Barn fast-food chain.

Where can you get cheap eats near Chumash Casino?

Edison Street. Santa Ynez Billiards & Cafe is a pool hall with a Mediterranean kitchen: hummus, baba ghanoush and falafel are $8.99 each on its all-day menu, with grape leaves, tabouli and fattoush too. It's closed Wednesdays. Around the corner, Santa Ynez Burrito works out of a counter inside Rio Market, the liquor store at 1051 Edison Street; it has no website and doesn't publish hours, so call ahead (805-688-0750). Panino at 3569 Sagunto Street is open for lunch daily. On the highway, Highway Tacos at 3145 E Hwy 246 lists Monday to Saturday, 11am to 10pm.

Where can you eat early or late near the casino?

Early: PONY Cocktails + Kitchen opens at 8am every day and serves until 2:30pm, then reopens at 4:30pm. Inside the resort, Cafe Amri opens at 7am. Late: the Maverick Saloon stays open to midnight Sunday to Thursday and to 2am on Friday and Saturday, and posts its live music on its own event calendar. For more stages, see live music in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Which wineries are near Chumash Casino?

Artiste Winery & Gallery is the closest, on Edison Street a minute away: tastings Thursday to Monday, 11am to 5pm, a 5-wine "Classic" flight in a gallery of original art. Gainey Vineyard is 4 minutes east on Highway 246. Sunstone, 5 minutes away at 125 N Refugio Road in Santa Ynez, pours daily 11am to 5pm (last seating 4pm), $30 for five wines, and allows children; anyone tasting needs photo ID.
