Pet-friendly hotels in Solvang

Dogs of Marlo, no size limits & patios that take dogs

At least nine Solvang hotels take dogs, and Solvang USA says the village has free water stations. Big dog? Hotel Ynez lists no size limit ($50 per dog, per stay), and The Landsby allows 50 lb each. The cheapest published fee is $25 a night. Wherever you stay, don't leave the dog alone in the room.

Which Solvang hotels allow dogs?

Dog in the back seat? Nine Solvang hotels take one: The Landsby, The Marlo, Vinland Hotel & Lounge, The Winston, Royal Copenhagen Inn, Solvang Inn & Cottages, Wine Valley Inn & Cottages, the Viking Inn and Hotel Ynez. Solvang USA lists the first eight as dog friendly [1], and Hotel Ynez publishes its own dog policy. The fees and rules come from each hotel's own policy page; third-party pet sites sometimes show older fees, so we quote the hotels. King Frederik Inn allows no pets except ADA service animals, Kronborg Inn says pets aren't allowed, and Hamlet Inn says no pets. Corque is unclear: corquehotel.com says "we are not pet friendly" (service animals welcome), while its Marriott listing says up to 2 pets, 80 lb each, with a $150 fee per stay [3]. Call Corque before you book. For every hotel with walk times, see Solvang hotels.

Bringing the dog wine tasting too? See our dog-friendly wineries guide for each winery's own dog rule.

What are pet fees at Solvang hotels? The pet-fee index

Read the fee carefully: some hotels charge once per stay, others every night. The table below is our Solvang Pet-Fee Index: every hotel we could find a published pet policy for, including the ones that say no. Tap a column heading to sort. The nightly-fee hotels (Royal Copenhagen Inn, Solvang Inn & Cottages, Wine Valley Inn and the Viking Inn) come to $50–60 for two nights. That's about the same as Vinland's one-time $50 or Hotel Ynez's $50 per dog for the stay, and less than The Landsby or The Winston at $100. For a long stay, a one-time fee usually works out better. Download the index as CSV.

The Corque conflict. Corque's own site says "Unfortunately, we are not pet friendly. Service animals are welcome." Its Marriott listing says "Pets Welcome," with a $150 fee per stay, up to 2 pets and 80 lb [3]. Both pages were live on Oct 17, 2026. We show both rows rather than guess; call the hotel before you book with a dog.

How we checked

On Oct 17, 2026 we opened each hotel's own pet policy, FAQ or booking page and copied the fee, how it's charged, the pet limit and any weight limit exactly as written. Where a hotel's own site and its brand listing disagree (Corque), we list both. Third-party pet and review sites often show older fees. We'll recheck the index every quarter; if a hotel changes its policy before then, the hotel's page wins.

Are Solvang tasting rooms dog friendly?

Many are. Solvang USA lists The Good Life, Solvang Brewing Company, the Lucas & Lewellen and Toccata tasting rooms, Casa Cassara, Sanger Wines, Feliz Noche Cellars and Draughtsmen Aleworks among its dog-friendly watering holes [1]. The wineries' own sites back some of this up: Lucas & Lewellen welcomes children and pets, Sanger allows "well behaved kids and pets," and Kaena takes leashed dogs (our Solvang tasting guide). Out in the valley, Sunstone and Brander welcome dogs, and Gainey welcomes them on its lawn (Santa Ynez wineries).

Which Solvang restaurants have dog-friendly patios?

Solvang USA says nearly any restaurant with outdoor space will welcome dogs [1]. Its picks include the patios at Paula's Pancake House, CHOMP and Brekkies, Copenhagen Sausage Garden, peasants FEAST, Ramen Kotori, Cecco, Osteria Grappolo, Coast Range and Craft House at Corque. Some bakeries have outdoor seating too, including Olsen's, Birkholm's, The Solvang Bakery and Mortensen's. Brekkies' own site says it's kid- and dog-friendly. Policies change, so ask before you sit down.

Where can dogs run near Solvang?

For a leashed walk, try these. In the center of town, Solvang USA says Solvang Park's shaded lawn "welcomes wagging tails," and it suggests Hans Christian Andersen Park, with its trails, just outside downtown [1]. The Marlo points dog owners to Nojoqui Falls Park, 10–15 minutes from Solvang near Buellton, for "a short, scenic leashed hike to a seasonal waterfall" [2]. We didn't find an official off-leash dog park in Solvang, so keep the leash on.
