Dog-friendly wineries in Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley

Leashes on, glasses up

These 18 dog-friendly wineries in Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley say so on their own sites. In downtown Solvang, Lucas & Lewellen and Sanger welcome pets. For a picnic with the dog, Zaca Mesa and Sunstone have lawns. Most want dogs leashed and outdoors, and the rules vary, so read each card.

What do dog-friendly wineries here expect?

Dog-friendly means different things at each winery, so the dog rule leads every card below. The common thread: a leash, an outdoor seat and a well-behaved dog. Some draw tighter lines. Gainey keeps dogs on its Vineyard View Lawn, Brave & Maiden wants to know at booking and seats you outside, Sanford takes dogs on estate tastings but not its special experience, and Vega posts a dog policy that caps groups of 8 or more at two dogs.

Which wineries don't allow dogs?

Dovecote and Pence both say no pets on their own sites, so leave the dog at the hotel for those. Folded Hills is the other way round: its FAQ welcomes well-behaved dogs outside at the tasting room, on a leash at all times.
