What's included at the Fess Parker inn?

Breakfast, parking and two tastings come with the room: a daily European-style continental breakfast, free self-parking, and complimentary tastings at Fess Parker Winery and Epiphany (the inn doesn't pour wine itself). The heated outdoor pool, fire pits, fitness center and EV charging are included too, and poolside service runs in summer.

How do the free wine tastings work?

Pick up the inn's tasting vouchers. They cover a tasting at Fess Parker Winery, the family's estate at 6200 Foxen Canyon Road, a drive out of town, and one at Epiphany. Is there a restaurant at the Fess Parker inn?

Yes: Nella Kitchen & Bar, Italian-leaning and from the team behind S.Y. Kitchen in Santa Ynez. Its site lists 11:30am to 8:45pm (last seating), and only service animals are allowed.

Is the Fess Parker inn pet friendly?

How much does the Fess Parker inn cost?

The inn doesn't publish nightly rates, so price your dates on its booking page. What it does publish: on top of the room rate you pay a 14% county occupancy tax, a $3 per room, per night TBID fee and a $1.10 per night state tourism assessment. Some rates bundle a tasting passport, wine tasting for two or a bottle of wine in the room. For a full refund, cancel by 3pm seven days before arrival.

Can you walk to tasting rooms from the Fess Parker inn?

Yes, that's the point of it. The inn says more than 20 tasting rooms are steps away, and every tasting room and restaurant on our Los Olivos lists is 4 minutes or less on foot from the inn (see the table on Los Olivos hotels). Fess Parker Winery itself is the exception: it's out on Foxen Canyon Road, so drive or book a ride for the free tasting there.

Is this the Fess Parker hotel in Santa Barbara?

No. The Santa Barbara beachfront hotel Fess Parker built opened as Fess Parker's Red Lion Inn, later became The Fess Parker, a DoubleTree by Hilton Resort, and has been the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort since April 2018 (Santa Barbara Independent). This page is the 19-room inn at 2860 Grand Avenue in Los Olivos, run by the Fess Parker winery family, about 45 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport by the inn's count.

Is the Fess Parker inn expanding?

It's proposed. Siteline reported in October 2025 that the plan would roughly double the inn with a new two-story building of 18 rooms, plus a new lobby, lounge and library. A county Planning Commission hearing is set for October 28, 2026. Nothing has been built yet.
