- NightBar Alamo pours beer and wine by the fire pit until 9pm. The Depot Bar, in an 1882 railway depot, runs until 1am on Friday and Saturday.

Which room should you book at Skyview?
The Junior King Suite is the one to ask for. Skyview lists it at 350 sq ft with a fireplace, an enclosed mountain-view patio with a fire pit and an outdoor shower, and it takes dogs. The Deluxe King has the same patio, fire pit and shower in 250 sq ft. The Superior King trades those for a vineyard-view patio and a fireplace, and doesn't list dogs. The Classic King (200 sq ft) and Cozy Queen (195 sq ft) are the plain, cheaper rooms with no patio. There's an accessible room with a roll-in shower too.
Who is the new chef at Norman?
Tyler Cole, since July 2026. Nomada Hotel Group, which runs Skyview, says he brings more than a decade of Central Coast cooking, and that his arrival came with a reimagined menu. The current menu includes a Blue Moon Ranchero Waffle at brunch, salmon crudo, braised cabbage and Iberico presa, and the Santa Maria grill has been refurbished.
Norman is open to everyone, every day: lunch Monday to Friday 12pm to 3pm, bites 3pm to 5pm, dinner to 9pm and brunch Saturday and Sunday 10am to 3pm. Weekly deals: Monday martini sliders ($15) and $10 well martinis, Tuesday taco trios ($18), Wednesday half off bottles or free corkage. Restaurant parking is limited to the lot at the bottom of the hill, so ask about the Moke.
Can you visit Skyview without staying?
Yes, two ways. Eat at Norman, which takes reservations and is open daily. Or buy a pool day pass: from noon, $50 Monday to Thursday and $75 Friday to Sunday, for 21 and over only. Nomada's membership ($400 a year) includes eight passes, which pays off if you live nearby.
Tips before you go
- Take a Linus bike down to Bell Street for dinner at Bell's or Pico; it's downhill on the way out.
- Most Bell Street kitchens keep a Thursday-to-Monday week, so before you ride down, check which Los Alamos restaurants are open today, with every restaurant's hours by day.
- There are Tesla chargers on site, and one parking space per room.
- Holidays bring a $75 prix fixe at Norman (Thanksgiving runs 3pm to 8pm).
- Kids can stay, but the pool is 21 and over.
