Which Alisal Ranch restaurants are open to the public?
The Alisal River Grill, on the Alisal River golf course, is the one with public booking. It takes Tock reservations for the dining room and the terrace, which looks across the course to the Santa Ynez Mountains. The ranch calls its Thursday and Friday Blue Plate Special dinners a favorite with valley regulars.
The Ranch Room, the Oak Room bar, the Chuckwagon Grill and the Waggin' Tongue Bar are part of the guest experience: the nightly rate covers meals and drinks in those rooms. Alisal doesn't publish a way for non-guests to book them.
What does the River Grill serve?
Start with breakfast, which runs from 8am to 11am on weekdays and all day on weekends: a $20 Golfer's Special (two eggs, two pancakes, bacon or sausage) or a $14 breakfast burrito. Lunch brings bison chili ($14), a pastrami melt ($20) and pulled pork nachos ($16). Parties of 6 or more get a 22% gratuity added.
How much does Alisal Ranch cost, and what's included?
The nightly rate includes your room, daily breakfast and dinner, and non-premium drinks in the main rooms. On top of that is a 22% ranch fee, which covers things like Wi-Fi, bikes, a shuttle to Solvang, tennis and non-motorized boats on Alisal Lake. Alisal doesn't publish a nightly price on its site; you see it when you pick dates in the booking engine or call 800-425-4725. In October 2026 its site was advertising a fall midweek offer of 25% off.
Does Alisal Ranch have a day pass?
Not one it advertises. Its site lists no day pass or day-visit rate. Non-guests can book breakfast, lunch or the Thursday and Friday Blue Plate dinners at the River Grill, and the ranch takes private events.
Is Alisal Ranch worth it?
It depends on whether you'll use the ranch. The rate already includes breakfast, dinner and house drinks, and the ranch fee covers bikes, tennis, the lake boats and tips. If you want to ride, fish and eat in, the bundle does the work. If you mostly want to taste wine and eat in town, you'll be paying for meals you skip. Riding and golf are booked on top.
Can you get married at Alisal Ranch?
Yes. Its weddings page lists the Alisal River Terrace (up to 250 guests), the Sycamore Room (seats 200), the Cottonwood Room (1,200 sq ft), the Sycamore Grove, and the deck and lawn at Alisal Lake. It also does elopements, and it says it's on The Loverly List of best wedding venues for 2026 to 2027. There's no published wedding price: you send a request for a proposal from the site.
