Monday: Buellton
Yes, Buellton has a farmers market: every Monday, 3pm to 7pm, on Avenue of Flags, March to October. Farmers set up on Median 2, and the north end of Median 3 has food trucks, live music and family activities. It's brand new (the first one was March 16, 2026), it's certified, and Brenda Browning runs it.
Look for Good Land Seafood (seasonal lobster, crab and fish), Diamond Black beef, chicken and lamb, Fika Coffee and Urban Homesteadings sourdough, all named in Edible Santa Barbara's opening preview. The season runs March to October. The last listed 2026 Monday was Oct 26, and 2027 dates are not posted yet.

Weekly markets in and next to the valley. Buellton's season runs March to October
Make a day of it: Monday is burger night at the Hitching Post 2, also in Buellton. The burgers run 4:30 to 8:30pm. If you live in the valley, Firestone Walker's Buellton taproom gives SYV residents 25% off beer, food and gear on Mondays, from 11am to 8pm; the Monday specials page lists more Monday deals around the valley.
Tuesday: drive or pick
There's no Tuesday farmers market in the valley. The nearest are Old Town Santa Barbara, 3–6:30pm on the 600–800 blocks of State Street (about 51 minutes), and Orcutt, 10am–1pm at Clark and Bradley.
Make a day of it: buy fruit at the source instead. The Yard Orchard & Co farm stand on Alamo Pintado Road opens Tuesday, 11am–3pm, and Visit Solvang lists apple picking there October through November. Then it's Tuesday trivia at 6pm at Figueroa Mountain Brewing in Buellton (Tuesday specials).
Wednesday: Solvang
Solvang's market on First Street runs every Wednesday, 2:30 to 6pm, winter included.
The Solvang farmers market runs every Wednesday, 2:30pm to 6pm, on the 400 block of First Street downtown, winter included. It's the valley's only SBCFMA market, so tokens you buy here also work at the association's five other markets on this page, and they never expire.
Going further north? Santa Maria's market runs Wednesdays, noon to 4pm, at Main Street and Broadway, per the county schedule.
Make a day of it: shop the market, then walk to happy hour at The Landsby (daily, 4 to 6pm; see Solvang happy hour). Or drive to Los Olivos for the Wednesday Winemaker Takeover at Mattei's Tavern, with $10 glasses from 5 to 7pm. In December, the Julefest Maker's Market sets up next to the farmers market in Solvang Park on Dec 2, 9, 16 and 23, 3 to 7pm; Solvang Christmas has the Julefest schedule.
Thursday: make it a farm day
There's no Thursday farmers market near Solvang. The closest is the SBCFMA's Carpinteria market, 2:30 to 6pm on the 800 block of Linden Avenue, about an hour away.
Make a day of it: make it a farm day instead. Start at The Yard Orchard (Thursday 11am to 3pm), then go to Clairmont Farms in Los Olivos, a lavender farm open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm, where visitors can walk the fields and picnic. Finish in Los Alamos with Thursday Bandito Burgers, served 11am to 4pm or until they sell out, from Priedite Barbecue at Bodega.
Friday: pick your own
The Lompoc farmers market is gone. The Friday market at Ocean Avenue and I Street closed for good in October 2022, KSBY reported. Lompoc's summer Old Town Market on Fridays (100 block of South H Street, with a farmers market among the stalls) ran July 10 to Aug 14, 2026, and is over for the year. That leaves the SBCFMA's Montecito market, 8–11:15am on Coast Village Road, if you are staying in Santa Barbara.
Make a day of it: pick your own. Santa Barbara Blueberries, at 1980 US Highway 101 in Buellton, has U-pick raspberries and blackberries on fall hours, Friday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, from Oct 2, 2026. Text 805-886-7919 before you drive. Then taste in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto, where Montemar, Sweetzer and Kessler-Haak are among the rooms open on Friday.
Saturday: Santa Barbara
The big Santa Barbara farmers market runs Saturday, 8am to 1pm, on the 00 East and West blocks of Carrillo Street and the 900–1000 blocks of State Street. It's the SBCFMA's flagship market, and it moved there in September 2024 after nearly 40 years in the Cota Street commuter lot, so old directions are out of date. From Solvang it's about 51 minutes over Highway 154.
Make a day of it: come home on Highway 154 and stop at Cold Spring Tavern, which has live music every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Sunday: Route One
Yes, there's a Sunday farmers market near Solvang. Route One Farmers Market is a nonprofit in Vandenberg Village, just north of Lompoc and about 38 minutes from Solvang. It runs Sundays, 10am to 2pm, at 3745 Constellation Road, and it skips some major holidays (check its calendar). It's also the only market between San Luis Obispo and Solvang that takes both EBT and Market Match. Its vendor list includes Bautista Family Farms, a 40-acre farm near Arroyo Grande, and Dare 2 Dream Farms on LaSalle Canyon Road in Lompoc, which takes appointments for farm tours.
Staying in Santa Barbara? The SBCFMA Goleta market runs Sundays, 10am to 2pm, at Camino Real Marketplace.
Make a day of it: La Purísima Mission is about 7 minutes away, with a guided tour at 1pm and a $6 vehicle fee. Or taste in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto (about 12 minutes), where Ampelos, Longoria, Montemar and Sweetzer are among the rooms open on Sunday.
Farm stands and U-pick
Skip the market and go to the source. These farm stands and U-pick farms near Solvang all publish their hours.
- The Yard Orchard & Co, 2275 Alamo Pintado Road, Solvang (about 4 minutes): farm stand open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 11am–3pm. Its apples include Jonagold, Crispin, Fuji and Pink Lady, each subject to its own harvest. Visit Solvang lists apple picking October through November.
- Santa Barbara Blueberries, 1980 US Highway 101, Buellton: U-pick raspberries and blackberries on fall hours, Friday to Sunday, 10am–6pm. Blueberry season usually opens in May or early June and lasts 4 to 6 weeks; the cane berries usually keep producing into October. Text 805-886-7919 first.
- Summerset Farm, Santa Ynez: U-pick berries in spring and summer, then a pumpkin patch and sunflower maze September through November, plus a farm stand with regional honey and jams. See our pumpkin patch guide.
- Clairmont Farms, 2480 Roblar Avenue, Los Olivos (about 13 minutes): a family-owned organic lavender farm, open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am–5pm, and by appointment. Dried lavender bundles are sold in its shop year-round.
- Dare 2 Dream Farms, Lompoc: sells at Route One on Sundays, and you can book a farm tour by appointment.
- Finley Farms, 1702 North Refugio Road, Santa Ynez (about 9 minutes): a certified organic farm that grows everything it sells, harvested daily. The farm stand is open every day, 10am to sunset. Call 805-245-9579, or follow @finleyfarms.
- Folded Hills Farmstead, 2323 Old Coast Highway, Gaviota (side trip, about 13 minutes south on Highway 101): open Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Kids feed Kunekune pigs, goats, mini donkeys, llamas, sheep and Peaches, a rescue mini Jersey cow, then cross the road to the U-pick fields. Farmer Tom crushes his herbes de Provence by hand on Friday nights. Bring a picnic.
Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Los Alamos
No regular market right now. Santa Ynez and Los Olivos have no organizer-run farmers market listed for 2026. The Saturday pop-up in Los Alamos (515 Bell Street) was a 2025 experiment by the organizer who now runs Buellton's Monday market, so don't plan around it. For fresh produce midweek, Solvang's Wednesday market is the closest.
Cards, EBT and tokens
- $10EBT tokens matched each market day
- $1 · $5 · $10token sizes
All SBCFMA markets, Solvang and Santa Barbara included
Yes, the markets take cards and EBT. All SBCFMA markets (Solvang and Santa Barbara included) accept CalFresh EBT, WIC, FMNP and credit cards in exchange for tokens at the green information tent, and match the first $10 of EBT tokens each market day. Tokens come in $1, $5 and $10. Route One takes cards, EBT, WIC summer checks and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition checks for tokens at its booth.
